Thank you for supporting our main fundraising event for beautification efforts in town and many other projects that promote education, community and healthy gardens in our region.
How We Put the Proceeds to Work
The funds raised from our plant sale go directly back into the community — and so do our volunteers. Here's a glimpse of what the Chappaqua Garden Club makes possible:
The Pocket Park That lovely oasis next to Susan Lawrence is maintained entirely by CGC volunteers, keeping it a peaceful retreat for everyone to enjoy.
Library Programs for Young Gardeners Each month, we lead hands-on programs at the library for children, introducing them to the world of plants and trees through fun, engaging projects.
The Senior Garden at the Community Center In partnership with the town, we help manage a garden behind the Community Center that serves as a gathering place for seniors — a space to socialize, learn about gardening, and bring home the fruits of their own harvest.
Gardens and Planters Around Town Many of those beautiful plantings you pass every day — near the train station, at Town Hall, at the library, and at the Post Office — were either planted by and/or are lovingly maintained by CGC volunteers.
We do all of this because we love it and have fun doing it. Giving back to our community, getting our hands dirty, and watching things grow — that's why we show up.
