Private, guided 1.5 hour tour, some steep terrain

$15 per person

Stonecrop Gardens is known as a plant enthusiasts’ playground. There are raised stone beds of alpine plants and a cliffside rock garden; woodland and water gardens; an enclosed English-stye flower garden representing over 50 plant families as well as a conservatory and display greenhouses.

Join us for a 1.5 hour guided tour of this very special place. The gardens are closed to the general public on Tuesdays and we can stay to explore after the tour. You can bring a picnic lunch to eat on site or plan lunch in the charming town of Cold Spring , 5 miles away.

Plan on 40-45 minutes to get to Stonecrop and please note the special driving instructions.

Directions: Stonecrop is located off Route 301 which can be accessed by Route 9 or the Taconic Parkway. We are advised not to rely solely on GPS to avoid being directed to the neighboring property, Glynwood.

From Route 9, take Route 301, heading east. The entrance is 2.7 miles, past Dennytown Road on the right and Stonecrop Lane on the left. The entrance is the second left and is marked by a large sign “Stonecrop Gardens”.

From the Taconic Parkway, take Route 301, heading west. The entrance is 3.5 miles, the first right after past Big Woods Road. It is marked by a yellow highway sign noting the driveway to Stonecrop Gardens.
