CHANGE OF TOPIC
Donna Lassiter is not able to present for us on Feb. 16th due to a health problem. We will invite her to speak about the principles of shade gardening in the future.
NEW TOPIC: RAIN GARDENS
It is possible to transform an occasionally flooded space into a beautiful landscape. Rain gardens, only a few inches deep, hold water for just a day or so. Plants in a rain garden slow the rate of stormwater runoff, help to reduce flooding, erosion and provide food and habitat for wildlife. This presentation will cover location, site preparation, appropriate plants and how to care for the rain garden.
Speaker Ann Edmonds is a Master Gardener with Cornell Cooperative Extension.
