SENIORS/Garden Therapy Weekly Meeting (05/05/2026)

Join us Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00 PM for the Senior Gardening Program behind the New Castle Community Center at 10 Senter Street.

Throughout the season, we will plant, maintain, and harvest a variety of vegetables, herbs, and flowers for participants to take home. The program is open to all seniors, but sessions are weather-dependent. If in doubt, please contact the Community Center at 914-238-8888 for clarification. This program is a partnership of the Chappaqua Garden Club and the New Castle Recreation and Parks Department.

Workshop fee: $35. Limited online registration required by April 30

Join Brian Wigley for a hands-on gardening experience and create a beautiful Geranium and Ivies Galvanized Hanging Planter for your balcony or deck! Take home your handmade hanging planter.

Buy your mom, or a friend, the experience of a gardening Workshop and they will have a planter to hang on their deck!

The Chappaqua Garden Club has arranged a private tour of Sleepy Cat Farm in Greenwich, Connecticut on Tuesday, June 9 at 10:00 AM.
(Rain date: Wednesday, June 10)

Sleepy Cat Farm is a stunning 13-acre private estate featuring beautifully designed garden “rooms,” pavilions, pathways, water features, sculpture, and extraordinary seasonal plantings. Thoughtfully created over many years, the landscape offers a harmonious blend of horticulture, architecture, and artistic expression — truly an inspiring experience for garden lovers.

Details:
Cost: $10 per person
Tour Length: Approximately 1.5 to 2 hours
Parking: Space is limited to about 8–10 cars, so carpooling is strongly recommended

The garden is 13.5 acres and has numerous steps (most without railings) and grade changes, so it is recommended to wear sturdy footwear.
